ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A north St. Louis Alderman is busy putting in speed bumps and hopes to implement a curfew to try to make the neighborhood safer. Alderman Brandon Bosley says he gets calls every day from people complaining about speeding cars, sometimes crashing into parked cars, and racing off.

He says he's trying to "completely slow the ward down." The Ward 3 alderman hopes to put speed bumps around all schools, parks and day care centers by the end of this year.

But he'd also like to take it a step further to slow down crime.

"We're working with the community and we'll be sending out letters very, very shortly but i've caught a lot of them and everybody is willing, if we can make this work, to go into a neighborhood-wide curfew," Bosley says.

Bosley says the curfew could run from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
