Application process begins for St. Louis City's "Guaranteed Basic Income" program

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The Application process begins for St. Louis City's "Guaranteed Basic Income" program has officially begun.

St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones signed the "Working Families Bill" in Dec. 2022 allocating $5 million of ARPA funds to families in need of financial aide.


Two weeks ago, Jack Dorsey, formerly the head of Twitter, added $1 million to pot.

A total of 540 families will be able to receive $500,000 a month for 18 months.
