SUNSET HILLS (KMOX) - Bass Pro Shop announced plans to open a third location in the greater St. Louis area. A new 75,000-square-foot redevelopment will be located in Shoppes at Sunset Hills.
Bass Pro Shop, headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, is expected to employ more than 100 employees at the new location. It's planning to be open in the second half of 2022.
The store will feature a large aquarium and water features stocked with native fish species, thousands of local antiques and artifacts, hundreds of trophy fish and wildlife mounts, and murals depicting local scenes.
The company has two other locations in the region: St. Charles and Hazelwood.
The new store will fill the vacant spaces left by Former Toys R Us and Ross Dress for Less.
