ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - In a battle of two of the UFL's top defenses, the St. Louis Battlehawks (7-3) clinched home-field advantage in the XFL Conference Championship with a 13-12 win Saturday over the San Antonio Brahmas (7-3).

A missed San Antonio field goal attempt with just seconds left on the clock stirred the crowd of 34,379 fans at The Dome at America's Center into a roar.


St. Louis quarterback A.J. McCarron returned from weeks off with injury to throw a touchdown pass to Steven Mitchell, Jr.

The teams will meet again in the conference championship game at 6 p.m. CT on Sunday, June 9 at The Dome at America's Center. The game will be televised on FOX and simulcast on FOX Sports on Sirius XM Radio.
