SAINT LOUIS, MO (KMOX) - The Bi-State Development Board voted Thursday to seek bids to design fare collection gates for MetroLink stations.
It's the first big step in a $52 million project to assure fares are paid at the system's 38 stations.
Much of the funding is coming from unspecified private sources.
MetroLink has never had turnstiles in its 3 decades of operation.
