ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The St. Louis Board of Alderman has received hundreds of ideas for how to spend Rams settlement money.

Now they want residents to vote on the top priorities.

After over 700 ideas have been submitted by residents on the CitizenLab portal since its launch in August 2023, that list has dwindled down to 20.

Among the list of spending priorities includes construction of new public school buildings, traffic calming measures, Metro Link expansion and subsidized childcare.

The list also includes replacing water mains, creating better bike lanes, establishing free or subsidized childcare and hiring dedicated code enforcement officers for vacant properties.

Residents who register through an online portal will get 10 digital tokens -- they can cast all ten for a single idea or spread them across multiple ideas.

That's not a guarantee.  The Board says ideas that get the top votes from residents will need further research and feasibility study.

They'll be considered in hearings in the spring and guide the Board of Aldermen when it allocates the Rams Settlement Funds later this year.

Voting ends Feb. 2. You can access the site at stlouis.citizenlab.co.
