LA SALLE COUNTY, Ill. (KMOX) - The LaSalle County Coroner confirms the body found earlier this month is the body of 25-year old Jelani Day.

Day's family reported him missing Aug. 25, he was last scene on campus of Illinois State University at Beyond Hello in Bloomington.
His vehicle was found in Peru, Illinois. Initial searches turned up negative. But on Sept. 4, a body was found floating near the south bank of the Illinois River 1/4 mile east of the Illinois Route 251 bridge.
The cause of death has is unknown, pending further investigation, and toxicology testing.
