A new music festival is coming to St. Louis.

Created by producers Contemporary Presentation and the Just Listen Company, the Evolution Festival is “inspired by the love for their hometown and the belief that festivals are a catalyst for building a stronger local community.”

The festival comes to Forest Park on August 26 and 27 of this year and features 15 local and national artists including Brandi Carlisle, The Black Keys, Brittany Howard, Ice Cube, Smidley and more.

Between sets, festival goers can enjoy classic St. Louis BBQ from a mix of local joints like Sugar Fire, Pappy’s Smoke House and Beast Craft BBQ. Plus, they can sip on bourbon cocktails from brands in St. Louis and around the country.

“An amazing food and beverage experience is just as important as the music is to us, and having a relaxed atmosphere with room to spread out, sit down, and socialize is a big part of what will make this event special,” said co-executive producer Joe Litvag. “ And watching  incredible artists like Brandi Carlile, The Black Keys, The Black Crowes and Ice Cube doesn’t hurt either!  It’s going to be a special weekend!”

The  festival will also work with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through its Music Gives campaign to raise money for childhood cancer.

Tickets for the festival go on sale this Friday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. with prices starting at $99.50 plus fees. Find more details about the first-ever Evolution Festival here.
