Cards skippers help Pujols raise charity funds

Clayton, Mo. (KMOX) - The current manager some former St. Louis Cardinals skippers were among the supporters at Saturday night's Pujols Family Foundation gala at the Ritz-Carlton in Clayton.

Oliver Marmol, Mike Shildt, Mike Matheny, Tony LaRussa and Whitey Herzog helped retired slugger Albert Pujols raise money at his charity's 17th "O Night Divine Christmas Celebration."

The foundation's mission is to deliver joy to those with Down Syndrome in the U.S. and food to the hungry in the Dominican Republic.

The charity auction featured several items specially-autographed for the event.
