A carjacker who was part of a gang that stole 21 cars finds out later this morning how long he's going to prison.
Between July and October of 2020, the carjackings just kept on coming. A gang of men would ride around, and Detrich Williams has admitted he would hop out of the car and steal someone else's car at gunpoint.
Once at South County mall, investigators say he approached a woman who had just parked, fired a shot in the air and stole her Jeep Cherokee, another time a pizza delivery driver -- his spree ended with a high speed chase stopped by police spike strips.
Detrich pleaded guilty to five charges and could get 17 years or more in prison.
