A video went viral this week that shows a South City family being harassed in their home. Now, it’s caught the attention of the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s office.
In the video, a woman, identified as 54-year-old Judy Kline, approaches the family’s door and yells at them to leave, making racially charged statements toward the Latino family, saying she doesn’t believe they could afford the house. She even accuses the family of being present on 9/11. The videos were posted on TikTok by the homeowner’s daughter.
Reportedly, the family first had an interaction with her when they heard a noise in their basement and found her there with a hammer. The TikToks date back to January of 2022, with the original poster saying they had called the cops on the woman many times but that the harassment has not let up.
Sergeant Charles Wall tells KMOX that their department has responded to the family’s calls on four occasions.
“On three of those occasions, our department has prepared incident reports. Our department has either arrested an individual or, I believe in one instance, an individual was issued a summons to appear in city court and then released on that summons,” he said.
Kline was arrested on January 5 of last year, but has since been released and has continued harassing the family. The latest update from the Circuit Attorney’s office is that charges have been filed against Kline. Those include Burglary 1st Degree, Property Damage 1st Degree, and Armed Criminal Action. She is not currently in custody and a warrant has been issued for her arrest.
