
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -- Update: 1/2/2022: A 2-year-old girl who had been abducted from downtown St. Louis Saturday morning has been found unharmed.
St. Louis Police say Aria Rhodes was found in North St. Louis County with the woman who abducted her, 25-year-old Whitney Blanchard. She was taken from the Lumiere Hotel shortly before noon.
Aria's family knows Blanchard but she wasn't authorized to take the girl anywhere; police are questioning her right now but she's so far not been arrested.
Previous report: Police say a 2-year-old child was abducted at the Lumiere Casino in downtown Saturday morning and have issued a SARAA, otherwise known as a St. Louis Area Regional Abduction Alert. The child is described as Aria Rhodes, a 2-year-old black female with light complexion, puffy hair, wearing a pink coat, blue jeans, and a white shirt with a cat on the front of the shirt.
Aria was at the Lumiere Hotel with family when police say a 25-year-old black female, Whitney Blanchard, left with the child shortly before 11:40 a.m. today.
Blanchard was with an unidentified black male who was wearing a grey sweatshirt, black pants, and tan boots. They were last seen in a dark blue Malibu with a Missouri license plate of HBD-Z31.
