
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The St. Louis NAACP is holding a conference Tuesday morning at their headquarters on Delmar.
They will talk about a complaint filed with the U.S. Department of Education's office of Civil Rights at the following schools in the St. Louis region.

The news release says the Complaint is based on a compilation that examined the systemic inequities affecting Black students in St. Louis area schools, focusing on literacy rates, academic performance, and related impacts. It provided an analysis of historical context, key evidence, civil rights violations, and recommends specific corrective actions to address these disparities.
The NAACP is asking the community to join hands in a concerted effort to foster creative literacy among children in the St. Louis region. As literacy forms the cornerstone of education and personal development, it is imperative that we provide engaging and innovative programs to inspire our youth.
