ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The clock is ticking on applying for a senior citizen property tax freeze in St. Louis County. Councilman Dennis Hancock says the one problem he is hearing about, people confusing their assessments they have been receiving.
Hancock says seniors will see a credit on their tax bill that is for the difference between what their previous tax bills have been and what it could be if the property was taxed at the full assessed value.
St. Louis County seniors who have not filed an application yet can go to one of three County Government Centers for help over the next three Saturdays.
