ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The Disney Store in St. Louis, located inside the St. Louis Galleria mall, is set to close this month.
Disney announced on Wednesday that at least 60, or 20%, of its brick-and-mortar stores in the U.S. will be closed as the company shifts more focus to online sales, reports CNBC. The Shop Disney store locator shows the St. Louis location "will close on or before 3/23."
However, there's still a Disney Store location at the St. Louis Premium Outlets in Chesterfield that will remain unaffected.
“While consumer behavior has shifted toward online shopping, the global pandemic has changed what consumers expect from a retailer,” said Stephanie Young, president of consumer products, games and publishing, according to CNBC.
