ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Chocolate Easter bunny production is in full swing this week at Crown Candy in Old North St. Louis.

Owner Andy Karandzieff is filling the bunny molds with liquid chocolate and hanging them upside-down to harden, "It's Holy Week and traditionally our busiest week of the year. It's truly living up to its billing. I think people are out and about."

Karandzieff says his customers tend to be multi-generational, "We capture the little guys and girls when they are young. We get them hooked. When they grow up they have little kids and we get them captured. It's a beautiful cycle.

Karandzieff says his bunnies range in all sizes, from two ounces to five pounds. The big bunny now goes for $60, up five-dollars from last Easter because of the rising cost of chocolate.
