Edwardsville police confirm they have arrested a 50 year old assistant principal from Edwardsville High School. She is accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 17 year old male student.
It's not clear police say how long the alleged affair was going on but they say the contact did not happen on school property, but some place else.
Police say there is no indication at this point that there were other victims.
