The Algonquin, Illinois Police Department has issued an Endangered Silver Advisory for a missing person occurring at 4300 Whitehall Lane in Algonquin at 9:00 a.m. Thursday.
Joseph A. Nies, an 83-year-old white man, was last seen by an automated license plate recognition system on the Clark Bridge US 67 westbound crossing into Missouri just before 8:00 a.m. on Friday. He left his residence Thursday morning and the police believe he may be on the way to Chesterfield.
Nies is diagnosed with dementia. He is 5'5", 170 lbs with gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray tee shirt, gray shorts, white socks and brown shoes. He also wears hearing aids. He drives a dark green Lexus LS460 with an Illinois license plate. His plate number is 1049095.
The police department asks that anyone with information on him, his car, or anything else related should dial 911 or call the Algonquin police at 847-658-4531.
