Bridgeton Mayor Terry Briggs says the EPA keeps doing soil sampling and finding more nuclear waste, "But every time they find new it just prolongs the process. Every time they find new material sites, it then means another 40 to 60 days."
The meeting this week included representatives of the Missouri Congressional delegation, and the Just Moms neighborhood group.
The EPA is planning a public hearing in a few months to say more about the timetable.
