ST. CHARLES COUNTY (KMOX) - This fall, you'll be able to hop aboard a 96-foot luxury yacht and take a sightseeing tour of the Missouri River in Augusta, Mo.

The new excursion opportunity is part of the Hoffman Family of Companies' $100 million investment into Missouri's wine country. They've acquired more than 700 acres of land, historic buildings and six wineries in the area in hopes of turning it into a Napa Valley- and Sonoma-like destination of the Midwest.

The Miss Augusta yacht can be rented for private events and will offer tours as soon as this fall. It's the 10th vessel operated by the Hoffman Family around the US.

The St. Charles County Council approved a plan on Monday night to build an additional 120 feet of dock space for Miss Augusta at Klondike Park. The county will maintain ownership of the dock and the Hoffmann Family of Companies will pay a per person fee to the county parks department for usage. Offsite parking and shuttles to get patrons to and from the vessel will be build as part of the Hoffman's plan.

With a $100million investment, their plans include wine trolley tours, steamboat cruises, horse and buggy rides, a 12-hole championship golf course, luxury hotel and spa, downtown shops, fine dining and more.
