ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - As the storms came trough late (Saturday) afternoon, motorists found themselves caught in traffic due to highway flooding.
Northbound 55 onto Southbound 255 closed due to flooding. The Exit ramp to Eastbound 255 was shutdown due to water on the road.
St. Louis Fire Department reported around 3:30 multiple vehicles were stranded in standing water at North Kingshighway and Bircher & at Lexington and North Kingshighway, an occupied vehicle with people trapped in standing water.
