Some in the area may have already seen some frost Wednesday morning. But the National Weather Service says everyone should expect freezing temperatures tonight and Thursday night.

The lows of 31 and 32 degrees respectively on Wednesday and Thursday night aren't even close to the all-time record in St. Louis. That would 16 degrees on Nov. 3, 1991 and 18 degrees on Nov. 4, 1951.

But it won't be cold for long as temperatures will be back into the 60s by this weekend.

It could be the start of an odd winter in St. Louis, as some long-ranger predictors have wildly different forecasts. This winter is expected to be warmer than usual, according to a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. But The Old Farmer’s Almanac says we should expert more snow and colder temperatures than we've seen in "years."
