Boeing employees protest in St. Louis over federal vaccine mandate
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A sizable group of demonstrators were outside the Boeing offices in St. Louis County on Wednesday protesting the company announcing a vaccine mandate.
Protesters say they were told they had to be vaccinated by Dec. 8, but weren't told what would happen if they don't comply. Employees granted exemptions “due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief” will have to be tested frequently for the virus and be ready to “present a negative test result upon request," according to a report from the Seattle Times.
As a contractor for the federal government, Boeing is mandated to require employees to get vaccinated.
"I love my job at Boeing. I make very good money and I love working here," said one protester. "This is not about Boeing, this is a about what the federal government has done."
