Two schools in Gasconade County off lockdown after report of active shooter

GASCONADE COUNTY, MO (KMOX) - Two schools have been taken off of a lockdown in Gasconade County...Gerald Elementary and Rosebud Immanuel Lutheran went on lockdown as a precautionary measure.

Sullivan Independent News reports the Gasconade County Sheriff SAYS they responded to a residence near Rose Bud for a report of an active shooter. They say there is no longer a threat to the public.

The investigation into this incident remains active and ongoing. One male suspect has been taken into custody. Sheriff Scott Eiler says he will release more information at a different time.
