ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - John Hancock and Michael Kelley joined Total Information A.M. every Friday morning right before their show Hancock and Kelley to discuss the top political stories of the week.
This week, Hancock and Kelley discuss the U.S. House of Representatives- with a surprise 31 Democrats- voting to keep George Santos in the House due to potential belief that would set a bad precedent.
Hancock and Kelley also discuss Bush and the criticism she has received from Jewish leaders. Democratic strategist and KMOX political analyst Michael Kelley on remarks from the 1st district Congresswoman that some groups say are fueling aniti-semitism.
"She represents, I would imagine, the largest Jewish population in any district in the state of Missouri," said John Hancock, "There's a sense in which she taking a bold stance against her own constituency."
However, Kelley says he doesn't think it will impact her in the next election in 2024.
"I don't think she cares," said Kelley, "I think that these progressive folks that have elected her in Democratic Primary will continue to elect her. What it ultimately is going to take is for regular people to wake up, get out there and participating in the voting process. I don't think it's going to work."
Kelley tells John Hancock that he commends the groups for "putting a spotlight" on Bush's comments and actions.
