ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - President Joe Biden held a hour-long press conference Thursday in an effort to ease Democrats weeks after what most people would agree was a poor performance by Biden in the first presidential debate.

Biden maintained his insistence on staying in the race, but did make two really notable flubs throughout the day, referring at an event beforehand to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as “President Putin" and then calling Kamala Harris “Vice President Trump”.

Political analysts John Hancock and Michael Kelley joined Total Information AM to discuss the press conference by Biden.

"If I come (to work) on a consecutive Friday and start talking the way Biden is talking, even though I make very little money, I be gone," said Hancock. "He is not up to be president and it's clear to everybody to see."

Kelley, a Democratic strategist, compared Biden's recent public appearances to walking on a tightrope.

"He's already had one slip, we've seen it and we all know he is not up for it," said Kelley. "We're just waiting to see if he's going to fall again and I kind of the mind now that this is like a game of Jenga. Enough blocks are getting pulled that this is going to tumble."
