Here's how to attend the Armory-area data center town hall

Thursday night, St. Louis residents get to weigh in on plans to turn the Armory and its surroundings into a data center campus.

Alderwoman Anne Schweitzer worked with the Mayor's office on determining the city's new conditional use permitting process to open a data center in the city and says the questions this process requires are pretty basic.

It asks about "the jobs that are generated, construction jobs versus long-term jobs, around the noise, how the energy will be used, what kind of energy will be used, if they anticipate any of their energy needs needing new infrastructure," she explains to KMOX.

Schweitzer says this current data center permitting process asks developers to respond to 40 questions in total. She'd like to hear answers to all of them.
