St Louis County Parks and Rec says there have been reports of a hammerhead worm at Cliff Cave Park.

They have long ribbon bodies and a crescent like head. Hammerheads are originally form Asia and the department says they can damage the local ecosystem by killing our native earthworms. These worms can generate -- so if you cut one into pieces each piece can become a new worm. If you spot one, don't touch it and don't cut it. Put it in a bag with a shovel or gloves. The parks department says put vinegar, rubbing alcohol or soapy water in the bag and freeze it for 48 hours, then toss it in the garbage.
