Sunday was an emotional day at the ballpark, as Cardinals fans got to commemorate the careers of Albert Pujols, Yadier Molina and Adam Wainwright as Pujols and Molina prepare for retirement.
Cardinals broadcaster John Rooney told KMOX that looking at the three of them this weekend, he saw three players who really love the game.
"Yes, they've made a lot of money playing baseball, but it's the way they played the game, the way they prepared. And they've done it right," Rooney said. "What they've given us over the years, they've showed us how the game should be played, how smart players can make a difference and win championships."
