
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - On one of St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson's final days in office, she has issued a proclamation to honor KMOX anchor Debbie Monterrey for her efforts to help nonprofit organizations in St. Louis.
Monterrey's voice has been heard on KMOX for nearly two decades as she's lived in St. Louis since 2003. The proclamation is in recognition of her "tremendous impact of her philanthropy, volunteerism, and community service in the City of St. Louis."

The proclamation reads:

Debbie Monterrey has dedicated her time and talents for the benefit of nonprofit organizations in St. Louis; and
Whereas,
Debbie Monterrey is celebrating her 10th anniversary of service as a community ambassador for the Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation; and
Whereas,
Debbie Monterrey is an experienced broadcaster. She has been awarded four regional Edward R. Murrow Awards from the Radio-Television News Directors Association, a Missouri Broadcasters Award, and the AFTRA American Scene Award; and
Whereas, It is fitting and proper to recognize the tremendous impact of her philanthropy, volunteerism, and community service in the City of St. Louis.
Now, therefore, I, Lyda Krewson, Mayor of the City of St. Louis, do hereby thank and honor Debbie Monterrey
