Lambert Airport officials continue to push for construction of a new terminal, after the FAA approved a master plan.

Airport Director Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge says lease negotiations are underway with the airlines that fly in and out of Lambert, "we do believe there's support from all of our airlines as well as the community to do it. We'll be working this year on all the negotiations. We're in the midst of the environmental which is a year-long process with the FAA to understand the impact, so that's a requirement as well. So we're not there, we haven't reached total agreement."

Hamm-Neibruegee says Lambert continues to show signs of growth with more passengers and more flights, and more people passing through the terminals. She told city aldermen Monday, that business conditions are improving at Lambert -- that it is a "healthy business" with strong partnerships with airlines.
