
JENNINGS, Mo. (KMOX) - At least 14 fire departments from both St. Louis County and the city of St. Louis responded to a large fire inside an abandoned chemical plant Thursday morning.

It broke out after 11:30 a.m. in the 8700 block of Xograph Avenue in Jennings, Missouri. There were many chemicals still inside the building.
The plant was previously used to manufacture x-ray plates and then bowling balls, but authorities say it hadn't been in operation for a few years.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
There are no reports of injuries.
