Bentley thought she was in the clear after ducking down, however according to her lawyer Ben Tobin, after the bullets stopped, the driver she locked eyes with ran her over.

"She thinks 'Hey I survived it,'" said Tobin. "But then 'Boom' that vehicle driver who floors it and ran her over, which then put her underneath the vehicle."

Bentley was dragged for three block before she finally came from from under the vehicle. Tobin details some of the injuries she suffered.

"Multiple fractures on her left leg, she has no mobility on her left leg," said Tobin. "The people at Barnes indicated that this is the worst fracture pelvis they have ever seen."

Tobin also says she has no movement in her right arm and lost most of her right ear.

Luckily for her, a bar staff was able to rescue her and perform life saving measures on her.

"She was laying on the road, screaming for help," said Tobin. "The bartenders and staff at the Platypus and performed some life-saving measures on her."

Bentley first moved to St. Louis with her then-boyfriend who plays for St. Louis City S.C.

The alleged driver, identified as 25-year-old Dionte Taylor, has since been arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing physical injury.

A GoFundMe has been established to help Bentley with medical costs, with the GoFundMe also having nearly $21,000 so far.
