LINCOLN COUNTY, MO (KMOX) - Seventeen investigators with the Major Case Squad are investigating the killing of a male juvenile. The Lincoln County Sheriff responded Monday to Harmony Harbor Road and found the juvenile deceased by a woodline near Foley Island.
Several witnesses were being interviewed and persons of interest had been identified. However, before 7:00 Tuesday evening, the Lincoln County Prosecutor announced an arrest and released the following information
Brendan Brown (25) of Foley, Missouri has been charged with First Degree Murder, Assault in the First Degree, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Prosecutors have requested he be held in custody with no bond.
Information developed by investigators showed as follows. In the late afternoon of Monday, November 10, 2025 an arranged drug buy between four juveniles and Brown was coordinated to take place near the Foley River Access Area in Lincoln County.
The three victim juveniles had developed a plan to steal the drugs (marijuana) from the purported dealer. As this incident unfolded, the deceased was running away with the drugs as Brown produced a 9mm handgun and fired three shots toward the victim.
Victim was struck in the back and later died from his wounds. Witnesses called police who responded to the scene and requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis.
Prosecutors and law enforcement worked throughout the night to track down and capture the perpetrators. Two persons of interest were located and arrested, one, a juvenile who has been referred to the Juvenile Office for charges, and Brendan Brown.
Multiple search warrants led to the recovery of the presumed murder weapon, the vehicle used, numerous spent shell casings and GPS locations of the actors in question.
The work of law enforcement partners was diligent and swift and I thank all of them for their hard work to both, keep our community safe and to quickly apprehend this violent criminal. Your efforts in this matter have not gone unnoticed.
These charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison.
