ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The Magic House is celebrating it's 45th birthday Wednesday and Magic House President Beth Fitzgerald says they're going back in time to celebrate it.
On Wednesday, you can get in for $1.50 per child and $2 dollars for adults -- the same price as opening day back in 1979.
"I can remember at the time thinking 'nobody is going to pay that, that's way high'"said Fitzgerald on Total Information A.M. "But it wasn't the case and it was a reasonable amount for families to pay for something to special."
Fitzgerald says they've expanded 10 times since their very first day, but are still dedicated to hands-on learning.
"I think our founders were really smart in putting together a whole array of hands on learning experiences designed to entice children to love learning and to care about using their minds and their hands together," said Fitzgerald.
