Major Case Squad needs help IDing suspect connected to 2 murders

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis is looking for help in identifying a vehicle that's possibly linked to two murders on Saturday night.

Investigators say they have recovered forensic evidence that suggests the murders of Barbara Goodkin and Dr. Sergie Zacharev are linked.

Police say at approximately 10:51 p.m. on Saturday, Stanley and Barbara Goodkin were traveling eastbound in the 8200 block of Delmar Blvd. when both were struck by gunfire. Mr. Goodkin sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Mrs. Goodkin died on Sunday.

Less than one hour later in the 8700 block of Eager Road, around 11:45 p.m., officers discovered Dr. Zacharev dead with apparent gunshot wounds.

Investigators are looking for a silver/metallic, smaller SUV or passenger style vehicle, that may have been involved in the incidents. At this time, no motive nor links between the victims have been discovered.
