ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOX) - Emergency crews in north St. Louis County worked to free a man that was stuck in the mud for more than two hours Thursday morning. He's being treated for lower-body crush injuries and hypothermia.

The man in his 30s was finally pulled from the mud around 10 a.m. near the corner of Shepley and Spring Garden Drives in the Glasgow Village neighborhood. He was calling for help for hours.
He was carried on a stretcher into an ambulance and his legs were seen covered in mud after being freed. Crews from multiple jurisdictions responded to the rescue scene.
The man was walking on a path between houses when he started sinking into a recently-filled trench. It took crews about an hour to dig the man out.
