ST. LOUIS, MO (KMOX) - More than half of US families will be putting summer camp on credit this year.
One in five parents responding to a Bankrate.com survey expected summer child care options to cost more than $1,000 per child.
About a third say they'll be able to pay cash and 60% say they'll have to put child care costs on plastic.
The survey found that 56% of parents with children under age 18 said either they or their spouse or partner have changed work hours or quit a job to care for their kids since March 2020.
