MAPLEWOOD, MO (KMOX) - Maplewood police are investigating a fatal shooting. It's the first in more than a decade for the bedroom community, popular for it's restaurants and shops.

Police were called to an apartment complex on Bellevue Avenue around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon. A man was found behind one of the buildings.
He later died at an area hospital.
Police say this is the first homicide in Maplewood since 2010.
