BRIDGETON, MO (KMOX) Bridgeton's Mayor Terry Briggs passed away unexpectedly today (Wednesday).
Mayor Briggs has served as mayor since 2015. A release says "his leadership and efforts have left an indelible mark on our community, shaping the City of Bridgeton into the vibrant and inclusive place it is today."
"Mayor Briggs will be remembered not only for his accomplishments in office but also for his kindness and genuine concern for the well-being of others."
Details regarding memorial services and arrangements will be announced in the coming days.
