SAINT LOUIS, MO (KMOX) - The autopsy report shows that former State Representative Cora Faith Walker died of a heart condition.
Medical Examiner Dr. Michael Graham says Walker died of non-ischemic cardiomyopathy, an arrhythmia or electrical issue, that caused an irregular heartbeat.
There were no illicit substances found in her system. The report shows prescription medications were present.
Walker died March 11th at age 37. She was Chief Policy Advisor to St. Louis County Executive Sam Page. Walker was known for her advocacy on health care, reproductive rights and other issues.
Walker had attended a birthday party for Mayor Tishaura Jones the night before at a St. Louis hotel.
