ST. LOUIS, MO (KMOX) - Scam artists who want to dupe people out of sensitive information or money through email, used to have to create those so-called 'phishing' campaigns all by themselves. Not anymore.

In a new article, Microsoft details an investigation into Phishing Kits.

What the software giant discovered is a large-scale underground operation that sells email templates, hosting and automated services for any scammer willing to pay for the package. The organization is called BulletProofLink. It even has an online store. "Just like any other service, the group even boasts of a 10% welcome discount on customers’ orders when they subscribe to their newsletter," says the Microsoft article.

Microsoft's Threat Intelligent Team says these kits include dozens of templates that mimic known brands and services. Investigators found multiple attacker groups using them on a monthly subscription basis.
