ST. PETERS, Mo. (KMOX) - A 27-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a 22-year-old pregnant woman in St. Peters, Mo. St. Charles Prosecuting attorney Tim Lohmar says she met her killer through a website and they were involved in "dangerous activity."

Damion Delgado of O'Fallon, Mo. was arrested on Tuesday after police say he cut his wrists and tried to commit suicide on his front porch. He was taken to the hospital and treated.

Lohmar says Amethyst Killian, who was pregnant with her third child, was stabbed more than 20 times, mostly in the head, neck and abdomen. Her body was found by police just a block away from her home, where she lived with her mother, stepfather, two children and a boyfriend.

Killian planned to meet with Delgado through an app called Text Now and was using the app at 1:15 a.m. on Thanksgiving. She was found the next day.

Police say Delgado's DNA was a match with DNA found on the knife used to kill Killian.
