ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -The conversation about traffic enforcement Downtown is continuing. According to St. Louis Police Captain Pierre Benoist traffic has their own division and from time to time, he ask for their assistance.
Benoist those traffic division officers help them out in the 4th District, just to issue traffic summons for speeding, violation, whatever the , and sometimes in Downtown, Downtown West, sometimes it's in the JVL."
Benoist says he has one officer, when he's working days, does only traffic enforcement, district wide. However, Captain Benoist says that officer will moving into mainly Downtown and Downtown West to address some of the traffic concerns.
Additionally, Captain Benoist said he is going to asking for the St. Louis Sheriff's department to provide deputies. This is something they did last Summer.
