Pack of dogs mauled multiple people in St. Louis County, 2 victims sent to hospital

FLORISSANT, Mo. (KMOX) - A pack of four dogs who escaped from their home attacked four women in north St. Louis County on Tuesday.

Florrisant police say two elderly women were walking in the 1400 block of Angelus Drive when the dogs jumped out of a home and immediately started attacking them. One of the women fell to the ground and sustained serious injuries to her head and legs. The other victim sustained lower leg injuries.

The dogs eventually ran off and one of them was struck by a car and killed.

The remaining three dogs attacked another woman walking her dog in the 400 block of Limedale Lane. A neighbor tried to help her and both of them sustaned lower leg injuries.

Police shared details of the incident on Facebook:

Two of the four victims were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The dogs eventually were rounded up when they ran into a neighbor's yard

The St. Louis County Animal Control now has custody of the dogs and will continue the investigation, police say.
