'It's the worst high school I've seen': Tour of St. Louis school reveals poor conditions [PHOTOS]

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - From what KMOX host Charlie Brennan previously heard, the condition of Normandy High School in north St. Louis County was too awful to be true. Then he saw it for himself.

He says the school has a number of problems that he witnessed during a tour of the campus at the corner of Lucas-Hunt and St. Charles Rock Roads. The issues include:
- Outdoor paths and surrounding grass areas floods, forcing students and staff to sometimes walk through water and mud.
- About half of a 200-seat lecture hall that's used as an auditorium are not suitable for sitting – the seats are so old, the school says it can't find parts to fix them.
- Mold and water problems in the ceilings and walls

The school district also posted video of the conditions:

On Tuesday's ballot, there are two propositions that would help provide funding for updates to the school. Proposition V is a $26.5 million bond issue that would not increase taxes, but Proposition T would raise the property tax ceiling by 58 cents for every $100 of assessed value is it's passed.
