ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A Friday night officer-involved shooting in south St. Louis involved an 18-year-old man whose mother said was having a mental health crisis.
Police Major Janice Bockstruck says the man was shot in the leg, then hit with a stun gun, after he refused to drop the hammer he was holding, "No officers were injured during this incident. The suspect has been taken to the hospital. He's listed in stable condition. And he's receiving the help that he needs."
The incident happened around seven Friday night in the 5200 block of Idaho.
