Joe Biden addressed the overturn of Roe vs. Wade in a press conference Friday.

“With Roe gone, let's be very clear. The health and life of women in this nation are now at risk,” Biden said. “I believe Roe v. Wade was the correct decision as a matter of constitutional law and application of the fundamental right to privacy and liberty in matters of family and personal autonomy.”
He appealed to those who are worried about abortion access to vote in the midterm elections.
“The only way we can secure a woman's right to choose — the balance that exists — is for Congress to restore the protections of Roe v. Wade as federal law. No executive action from the president can do that.”
Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker also spoke on the repeal of the law, and discussed Illinois before the Roe v. Wade decision. He said at a hospital in Cook County, there was a wing dedicated to “botched abortions” back when the procedure was illegal.
“Hospital professionals from back then say what they saw was nothing short of horrific — disturbing memories etched into their minds for eternity,” he said. “They treated women who burned their insides with bleach and peroxide. Women whose uteruses were perforated with paintbrushes, cocktail stirrers, knitting needles, and wire coat hangers. Women who were nearly dead due to unimaginable blood loss and advanced sepsis. These women saw no other choice. They risked their lives out of desperation for just a semblance of control. And far too many died.”
Missouri Governor Mike Parson expressed his gratitude for the decision on Twitter.
“Today, our efforts have produced what generations of Missourians have worked and prayed for: Today, we have won our fight to protect innocent life.”
In a statement, he said he’s “happy that the U.S. Supreme Court has corrected this error and returned power to the people and the states to make these decisions."
Other legislators like Congresswoman Ann Wagner had similar things to say.
“Today as a mother and a grandmother, I am so grateful and incredibly gratified that the Supreme Court of the United States has finally overturned Roe vs. Wade,” she said. “This is an historic moment for families, for mothers and for the precious unborn children who cannot protect themselves. Today we do give voice to the voiceless.”
