On Saturday, Fitch wrote a letter to Page where he laid out his requests to fellow councilmember Beth Orwick to release any other federal subpoenas for information regarding investigations against other St. Louis County employees. In the letter, he called out Page for his previous willingness to discuss subpoenas in the press in 2019 when Steve Stenger held the position of County Executive, but he hasn’t released any information during his own administration.

Today, Page sent a letter to U.S, Attorney Hal Goldsmith regarding Fitch's letter, where he said that out of respect to the ongoing federal corruption investigation in the County and City, he's deferring to Goldsmith how to respond to Fitch's inquiry.

Page alleges Fitch, while County Police Chief, was "notorious for manipulating both local and federal law enforcement, including publicly revealing law enforcement tactics to the media to smear former County Executive Charlie Dooley."

So far, there has been no response from the U.S. Attorney or Tim Fitch.
