ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A St. Louis Public School District bus landed on it's side early Wednesday morning, leading to traffic getting blocked on westbound Interstate 44 at Grand Avenue in St. Louis City.
The bus was involved in crash along with two other vehicles at around 8:30 a.m.
St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department tells KMOX two people, a male bus driver and a female monitor were the only occupants on the bus after the crash. Both were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
There were no students on board the bus at the time of the crash.
The Department says a female driver was taken into custody in the 4300 block of Hunt, after fleeing the scene.
The bus has been towed away and the highway is back to being open.
